Steelcoat® and Petoskey Plastics are committed to making sustainable choices and products.
Our products can contain up to 70% recycled content, which has the same performance as other products, with the added benefit of sustainability. Thanks to our thorough quality process, durability is guaranteed.
GreenPE® Resins
GreenPE® resin is made from landfill-diverted plastic film. Petoskey Plastics produces GreenPE® resin in our centrally located Hartford City, Indiana, recycling facility. Our state-of-the-art wash line ensures that post-consumer and post-industrial plastic turns into top-quality recycled resin.
Our bags and films are made with various 3-layer blends of GreenPE® resin and multiple levels of recycled content.

Our commitment to a sustainable environment includes creating sustainable products, using recycled plastic as the feedstock, and reducing the carbon footprint.
To demonstrate commitment to sustainability and provide evidence of this accomplishment, we contracted a third party to complete a Life Cycle Assessment of our recycled resin and the use of the resin in plastic films.

Pounds of Recycled Plastic Used
The amount of recycled content used and the percentage of recycled material.
CO2e Savings
The CO2e savings equivalent based on the recycled content used.
Water Savings
The equivalent amount of H2O not used.
Emissions Reduction
Equivalents such as miles not driven by a car to help visualize the impact of recycled material.
